My Story
Harry Bonsu has more than twenty-five years of experience as a top-level administrator in a variety of fields, including working with healthcare organizations, human services agencies, and small businesses. Harry has extensive experience leading diverse teams with a wide variety of skill sets and backgrounds.
Since 2008, Harry has been the Senior Vice President for Administration and Member Services at Independence Care System, a managed long term care program in New York City, which serves over 6,500 adults with physical disabilities and seniors with chronic illness. In his role, Mr. Bonsu manages 8 departments and over 150 people.
Harry combines his business acumen with his strong ability to connect with people to promote person-centered services.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Bonsu was the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Safe Space New York, where he was instrumental in stabilizing and transforming the financial health of that mission-driven agency, which offers a wide range of integrated family supports and youth focused programs, including community and mental health services designed to help families build a more hopeful future for themselves and their children.

In keeping with the spirit of business and leadership, in 2007 Mr. Bonsu founded Golden Shores Financial Group, an insurance and tax services company currently based in the Mid-Hudson Valley area and serves all 50 states. He is an IRS-certified tax preparer. Mr. Bonsu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and a Business Management degree, as well as a Master of Business Administration Degree in Business Finance.

Mr. Bonsu is a proud and active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and serves as a member of the Board of Directors the Poughkeepsie Alumni Chapter. He served eight years as the Keeper of Exchequer (Treasurer) for the Northeastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi where he established a comprehensive set of financial policies and procedures which has served as the cornerstone for internal control mechanisms within the Province. He has served on numerous finance committees at the local, regional, and national levels of the organization.

With a passion for philanthropy, Harry sits on several not-for-profit boards, whose focus is serving the youth, seniors, disabled and underserved populations. He is the Chairman for Beyond the Dreams Foundation, and the Co-Founder and Treasurer for Dream Builders Foundation, Inc. For the past 20 years, Harry has provided scholarship opportunities for students at his alma mater, who have demonstrated leadership qualities and passion for community service.
